STIRLING GAELIC CHOIR THRILL SHOPPERS WITH EXCLUSIVE PERFORMANCE AT THISTLES, STIRLING
Thistles, Stirling was the scene of a rousing music performance at the weekend as the Stirling Gaelic Choir treated shoppers to a live performance in the centre.
The award-winning choir presented an exclusive preview of some of the songs they have prepared for the Royal National Mod, which takes place in Glasgow later this month, as well as some old favourites.
These included Sine Bhan (a soldier thinking about Jane, his sweetheart), Gradh Geal mo Chridhe (the well know Eriskay love song) and a couple of Runrig tunes – Cearcall a Chuain (the Circle of the Ocean) and Tillidh Mi (I Am Coming Home), as well as other songs from the choir repertoire.
Commenting, Gary Turnbull, Centre Director, Thistles, Stirling said;
“We were delighted to welcome Stirling Gaelic Choir to the centre. The performance was a real treat for shoppers and we wish the choir every continued success, especially at the forthcoming Royal National Mod in Glasgow this month.”
