THISTLES GETS READY TO WELCOME BACK CUSTOMERS

New Covid-19 safety measures ensure a comfortable and welcoming shopping environment in the heart of Stirling-

Thistles shopping centre, Stirling, is getting ready to welcome back loyal customers and new visitors from Monday 26th April 2021. With customer safety at its heart, the centre has implemented a number of measures to protect visitors and ensure they can shop its fashion, lifestyle and beauty retailers with peace of mind, including late night shopping.

For those who aren’t feeling as comfortable about returning to shopping centres, Thistles will be operating a late night on a Thursday to allow people to shop until 7pm when the centre is quieter. For a limited time there will also be free parking between 5-7pm on a Thursday evening for late night shoppers to enjoy.

Visitors to Thistles will be met with a number of Covid-19 safety measures, including social distancing and one-way system floor markings to encourage shoppers to keep a safe distance and follow government guidelines. The centre has also erected hand sanitising stations throughout, encouraging good hygiene and making it as easy as possible for people to return to the shopping centre safely after lockdown.

With non-essential retail opening on the 26th of April shoppers will be able to make the most of what the centre has to offer, whether they’re shopping for a new outfit in Next, River Island or Marks & Spencer, buying their baby’s first shoes in Clarks, revamping their sports wardrobe at JD, or indulging in some beauty products from Lush, Boots or Superdrug. With many more stores available at Thistles, it’s the ideal one stop shop for those looking to enjoy in-person shopping after so many months of shopping online.

Gary Turnbull, Centre Director at Thistles, said: “Our whole team is looking forward to welcoming our shoppers back to Thistles after many months of restricted retail. We have been busy making sure the centre is as safe as possible for our visitors, as we want to make everyone shopping at Thistles feel comfortable as we take this next step in lockdown restrictions easing together.

“This past year has been a difficult one for many and we look forward to providing our customers with a sense of normality as they return to Thistles for their fashion, lifestyle and dining needs.”

POD Architects were recently appointed to help reimagine the future of Thistles shopping centre and increase its offering to locals and visitors, in a post-pandemic world.
